A brilliant pianist, a Polish Jew, witnesses the restrictions Nazis place on Jews in the Polish capital, from restricted access to the building of the Warsaw ghetto. As his family is rounded up to be shipped off to the Nazi labor camps, he escapes deportation and eludes capture by living in the ruins of Warsaw.
The true story of Wladyslaw Szpilman who, in the 1930s, was known as the most accomplished piano player in all of Poland, if not Europe. At the outbreak of the Second World War, however, Szpilman becomes subject to the anti-Jewish laws imposed by the conquering Germans. By the start of the 1940s, Szpilman has seen his world go from piano concert halls to the Jewish Ghetto of Warsaw and then must suffer the tragedy of his family deported to a German concentration camps, while Szpilman is conscripted into a forced German Labor Compound. At last deciding to escape, Szpilman goes into hiding as a Jewish refugee where he is witness to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (April 19, 1943 - May 16, 1943) and the Warsaw Uprising (1 August to 2 October 1944)

This movie is the most impressive movie for me. Wladyslaw Szpilman was a successful pianist and his life was good until the World War II. After the beginning of the war, his life became a nightmare because of the occupancy to Poland. Poland was occupaid by Germany and Nazis began to kill everyone. The conditions of that people was the most effective scenes for me. This movie contain bad and terrible scenes mostly because of the topic but after I watched this movie I understood that the importance of people's life because I couldn't believe how could some people did such a bad violence like this? This movie is really impressive for everbody.

Bella Swan is my favorite character!..

'Twilight Serie' is one of my favorite serie. This serie contains a vampire (Edward Cullen) and an ordinary girl (Bella Swan)'s love. It sounds interesting but it's so fascinating because of the power of love. Edward does everything to protect Bella and their 'immortal' love became a phenomenon all around the world because they show the real love. That's the thing which make their love 'immortal'. Another important reason to great achieve of the serie is being a vampire of Edward. He has a pure and unbelievable love of her and he is so faithful and polite. My favorite character is Bella Swan because I'm so adherence to my family and people whom I like, just like her and sometimes she is too obstinate for get something she wants. We have similarities at this points :).. Therefore, she is able to take a venture for her family and she is ready to do everything for her love...

Horror Movies

Horror films are movies that strive to elicit the emotions of fear, horror and terror from viewers. Their plots frequently involve themes of death, the supernatural or mental illness. Many horror movies also include a central villain.
Early horror movies are largely based on classic literature of the gothic/horror genre, such as Dracula, Frankenstein, The Phantom of the Opera and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
More recent horror films, in contrast, often draw inspiration from the insecurities of life after World War II, giving rise to the three distinct, but related, sub-genres: the horror-of-personality Psycho film, the horror-of-armageddon Invasion of the Body Snatchers film, and the horror-of-the-demonic The Exorcist film.
The last sub-genre may be seen as a modernized transition from the earliest horror films, expanding on their emphasis on supernatural agents that bring horror to the world.[1]
Horror films have been dismissed as violent, low budget B movies and exploitation films. Nonetheless, all the major studios and many respected directors, including Alfred Hitchcock, Roman Polanski, Stanley Kubrick, John Carpenter, William Friedkin, Richard Donner, and Francis Ford Coppola have made forays into the genre. Serious critics have analyzed horror films through the prisms of genre theory and the auteur theory. Some horror films incorporate elements of other genres such as science fiction, fantasy, mockumentary, black comedy, and thrillers.

Rock Music

Rock music is a genre of popular music that entered the mainstream in the 1960s. It has its roots in 1940s and 1950s rock and roll, rhythm and blues, country music and also drew on folk music, jazz and classical music.
The sound of rock often revolves around the guitar back beat laid down by a rhythm section of electric bass guitar, drums, and keyboard instruments such as organ, piano, or, since the 1970s, synthesizers. Along with the guitar or keyboards, saxophone and blues-style harmonica are sometimes used as soloing instruments. In its "purest form", it "has three chords, a strong, insistent back beat, and a catchy melody."[1]
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, rock music developed different subgenres. When it was blended with folk music it created folk rock, with blues to create blues-rock and with jazz, to create jazz-rock fusion. In the 1970s, rock incorporated influences from soul, funk, and Latin music. Also in the 1970s, rock developed a number of subgenres, such as soft rock, glam rock, heavy metal, hard rock, progressive rock, and punk rock. Rock subgenres that emerged in the 1980s included new wave, hardcore punk and alternative rock. In the 1990s, rock subgenres included grunge, Britpop, indie rock, and nu metal.
A group of musicians specializing in rock music is called a rock band or rock group. Many rock groups consist of an electric guitarist, lead singer, bass guitarist, and a drummer, forming a quartet. Some groups omit one or more of these roles or utilize a lead singer who plays an instrument while singing, sometimes forming a trio or duo; others include additional musicians such as one or two rhythm guitarists or a keyboardist. More rarely, groups also utilize stringed instruments such as violins or cellos, woodwind instruments such as saxophones, and brass instruments such as trumpets or trombones.
More recently the term rock has been used as a blanket term including forms such as pop music, soul music, and sometimes even hip hop, with which it has often been contrasted through much of its history.

Twilight Series

Twilight is a series of four vampire-based fantasy romance novels by American author Stephenie Meyer. It charts a period in the life of Isabella "Bella" Swan, a teenage girl who moves to Forks, Washington, and falls in love with a 104-year-old vampire named Edward Cullen. The series is told primarily from Bella's point of view, with the epilogue of Eclipse and Part II of Breaking Dawn being told from the viewpoint of character Jacob Black, a werewolf. The unpublished Midnight Sun is a retelling of the first book, Twilight, from Edward Cullen's point of view.
Ever since the release of the first novel, Twilight, in 2005, the books have gained immense popularity and commercial success around the world. The series is most popular among young adults; the four books have won multiple awards, most notably the 2008 British Book Award for "Children's Book of the Year" for Breaking Dawn, while the series as a whole won the 2009 Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Book.
As of November 2009, the series has sold over 85 million copies worldwide with translations into at least 38 different languages around the globe. The four Twilight books have consecutively set records as the biggest selling novels of 2008 on the USA Today Best-Selling Books list and have spent over 235 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list for Children's Series Books.
Thus far, the first three books are being made into a series of motion pictures by Summit Entertainment; the film adaptation of Twilight was released in 2008 and the second, New Moon, was released on November 20, 2009. The third film, Eclipse, is set to be released June 30, 2010.

Music

Duman is a Turkish rock band. The band combines elements of traditional Turkish folk music with modern rock. Duman consists of Kaan Tangöze (vocals and rhythm guitar), Batuhan Mutlugil (lead guitar and backing vocals), and Ari Barokas (bass guitar and backing vocals).
Kaan Tangöze began writing songs while living in Seattle in the early 1990s, and performing with a band called Mad Madame. Upon returning to Turkey, he reunited with former classmate Ari and his bandmate in the Blue Blues Band, Batuhan, forming Duman. The band's name, meaning smoke in Turkish, came from one of their first songs, entitled Halimiz Duman. After an initial search for a drummer, they decided to work with session musicians. With the exception of their latest album, the band predominantly worked with drummer Alen Konakoğlu.
Duman has released three studio albums, and a live album. They released their first album, “Eski Köprünün Altında” in 1999 and second, “Belki Alışman Lazım” in 2002. Both albums achieved great success in Turkey and spearheaded a new generation of Turkish rock bands that reached the mainstream. In 2004, they released their live album and DVD, “Konser”. Duman was the first Turkish rock band to release a live concert in DVD format (2004). Their fourth album, “Seni Kendime Sakladım” was released in 2005.
In 2009, Duman have been recording new work in Ireland at Grouse Lodge where famous artists such as Michael Jackson, R.E.M. and Muse have recorded albums in the past. After a 4 year gap between their last album "Seni Kendime Sakladım", they have released not one but two albums simultaenously. These two albums are self titled "Duman I" and Duman II". The albums came out in 18 March 2009. The band have also stated that Cengiz Baysal is their official drummer and that he is the fourth band member as until recently they were a three man band.

Series

The O.C. is an American teen drama television series that originally aired on the Fox network in the United States from August 5, 2003, to February 22, 2007, running a total of four seasons. The series, created by Josh Schwartz, portrays the fictional lives of a group of teenagers and their families residing in Newport Beach in Orange County, California. The O.C. has been broadcast in more than 50 countries worldwide and was one of the most popular new dramas of 2003. The O.C. attracted a strong 9.7 million viewers for its first season, but ratings declined as the show went on. The low ratings led to cancellation in early 2007, after four seasons, and 92 episodes, even after an online petition which gained over 700,000 signatures. Re-runs of The O.C. are now shown in syndication on SOAPnet, MuchMusic and Channel 4.
The show focuses on the lives of several teenagers, among whom was Ryan Atwood, a troubled teenager from a broken home who is adopted by the wealthy and philanthropic Sandy and Kirsten Cohen. Ryan and his surrogate brother Seth, an awkward and unpopular teenager about the same age as Ryan, deal with life as outsiders in the wild high-class world of Newport Beach, Orange County, California. This includes their often troubled and always dramatic relationships with Summer Roberts, Marissa Cooper, Alex Kelly, Lindsay Gardner, Taylor Townsend, and others. The show also features Marissa's mother, Julie Cooper, and for the first two seasons, her (ex)husbands Jimmy Cooper and Kirsten's overbearing father, Caleb Nichol. School water polo player Luke Ward, Marissa's (ex)boyfriend and early adversary to Ryan and Seth, causes problems in the first season. Drama also arises from Marissa's younger sister, Kaitlin Cooper. These main characters have problems and story arcs with numerous supporting characters from their past, workplace, and school.
